Milad Samaee, PhD!
Milad Samaee successfully defended his PhD and submitted his thesis on vortex ring propagation in confined spheroidal domains in December 2019.
Dr. Samaee will be starting as a postdoc in the Cardiovascular Fluid Mechanics Lab at Georgia Tech Biomedical Engineering in January 2020. Congratulations Milad!

APS-DFD in Seattle November 2019
Mani, Mitch, and Vishwa presented talks at the 72nd Annual APS-DFD Meeting in Seattle in November 2019. Oklahoma State University was well represented with over 24 presenters/attendees, including some alumna!
Key Largo field work in October 2019
Dr. Santhanakrishnan visited Key Largo Marine Research Laboratory to conduct field work on Cassiopea medusae with collaborators Drs. Laura Miller (Univ. of North Carolina Biology) and Christina Hamlet (Bucknell Univ. Mathematics). This research is toward the lab’s recent NSF grant looking at filtering through biological and bioinspired filtering arrays.
LV work on display at the Oklahoma Health Research conference
We presented a poster at the Oklahoma Health Research Conference on April 8th, organized by the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST).
Pritam wins first place for his talk in campus Research Week 2015!
Pritam presented a talk on his thesis research examining intraventricular filling under increasing wall stiffness at the 26th Annual OSU Research Symposium. He was awarded 1st place for "Biomedical Sciences Oral Presentation" category. Congrats Pritam!
